FSC-Certified Cores: How We Build Our Boards

Every one of our snowboards features wood cores sourced from FSC-certified forests. It's part of how we approach building boards, and we wanted to let you know what this means and why it matters to us.

Building Boards Our Way

One of the things that makes us different is that we design and manufacture all of our own wood cores. This gives us complete control over what goes into every board—from selecting the wood species to engineering the exact flex profile we're after. And having that control means we can make choices that that benefits snowboarders, including where our materials come from.

When you're designing and building your own cores, you get to decide what "quality" really means. For us, that includes knowing the wood comes from forests that are managed responsibly.

What's FSC Certification About?

FSC stands for Forest Stewardship Council, and their certification is basically a seal of approval for responsible forestry. It means the wood in our boards comes from forests managed to protect the environment, support local communities, and operate sustainably for the long term.

The certification covers some important stuff: protecting biodiversity and wildlife habitats, ensuring fair treatment and rights for workers and communities, and making sure forests are harvested in ways that allow them to regenerate naturally. There's also full traceability—every step from forest to finished product is verified.

Why It Matters to Us

We live in the mountains, and we've noticed the changes. Shorter winters, unpredictable snow, forests under stress. As riders and as a company that depends on these places, supporting responsible forest management is important to us.

Using FSC-certified wood is one tangible way we can contribute to better forestry practices and make boards we feel good about putting our name on.

How We Do It

Because we design and manufacture our own cores, we have direct control over our entire supply chain. We work with FSC-certified suppliers and maintain those relationships to ensure every board meets these environmental and social standards while delivering the performance you expect.

Having everything in-house means we can uphold these standards across our entire line without compromise.

What You're Riding

The wood core is what gives a snowboard its personality—the pop, the flex, the way it feels underfoot. We've always obsessed over getting that right. Now we're just as focused on where that wood comes from.

When you're out there on one of our boards, you're riding on materials sourced from responsibly managed forests.
